General Tire Launches Redesigned Website Charlotte, NC – (April 27, 2008) – General Tire is debuting a redesigned website, www.generaltire.com, which features an all-new look.  The new site supports the revitalization of the General Tire brand, which includes both its product line as well as the overall look and feel of the brand.  The new site is easy to navigate, and showcases several new features in addition to the existing tire selector and dealer locator, tire registration, General Tire University and customer care links.  

New features include:

  • A landing page with rotating banners which showcase recent ads from the General Tire campaign;
  • Products divided into recognizable categories: Performance, Passenger, Light Truck, Original Equipment, Winter and Commercial.  These user-friendly product links are further identified by corresponding vehicle icons which remain accessible at the bottom of each product page throughout the site;
  • A "Register to Win" link for a set of free tires;
  • "The Garage," a link to all the coolest information, including downloadable wallpapers, information on becoming part of Team General through sponsorship, photo galleries, an email newsletter: “Outside the Lines,” promotional information and breaking news.   This section is slated to include off-road driver bios, images and video in upcoming months.
