General Tire Grabber HTS Ranked #1 by Tire Rack
 

CHARLOTTE, NC – (December 1, 2008) – The General Grabber HTS has earned the Number One ranking amongst key light truck, crossover and SUV highway all-season competitors in a recent Tire Rack Real World Road Ride and Performance Test Track Drive.

The opinion of the Tire Rack team is that the Grabber HTS is changing consumer perception by offering drivers new reasons to own General Tires. These are modern tires that match today’s wide variety of vehicle and driver needs, prompting the Tire Rack team to enlist an old General Tire advertising slogan, “Sooner or Later You’ll Own Generals”, suggesting that maybe now is the time.

Using their 2006 Porsche Cayenne V6 SUV with new, full tread depth 255/55R18 tires mounted on 18x8.0 wheels, the Tire Rack team reported that ride quality, road handling and driver feel were first rate on the HTS stating, “The General Grabber HTS felt nimble and responsive and was easy to negotiate our course at maximum speed.”

In wet conditions the differences were more apparent, both from behind the wheel and when comparing overall lap times. Again the Grabber HTS led the pack with excellent overall wet traction, responsive steering and sure-footed braking.
